YOSHIKI Becomes First Japanese Artist Awarded Medal of Honor from Entertainment Community Fund, Announces $100,000 Donation for Mental Health

YOSHIKI was honored by the Entertainment Community Fund on June 1, becoming the first Japanese artist to be awarded with the prestigious Medal of Honor at the gala ceremony in New York. The Fund also announced YOSHIKI's donation of $100,000 to support their mental health programs and services.



YOSHIKI was introduced by Katherine Oliver, Principal at Bloomberg Philanthropies, who said, "What sets YOSHIKI apart is what he does beyond the music. His philanthropic work reaches thousands of people."



In his acceptance speech, YOSHIKI said, "I have learned something through all the loss, all the pain, all the years of trying to help others. Saving people also saves you."
