"YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2026 Awakening Eve - Tokyo 3 Nights The First Chapter to the World," held at Tokyo Garden Theater from April 3rd to April 5th, concluded successfully amidst a massive response with all performances sold out.

This performance was YOSHIKI's first classical concert in about two and a half years and a special stage marking his complete return to full-fledged artistic activities. It follows his 2024 neck surgery and long-term rehabilitation throughout 2025.

As the title "Awakening Eve" suggests, this performance used new ideas that went beyond traditional styles. The feeling of tension, bold experiments, and the mix of soft and powerful music clearly showed the new possibilities of YOSHIKI CLASSICAL.

The setlist for this performance was carefully chosen from over 100 potential songs, with every detail finalized at the last minute. X JAPAN's signature hits, "DAHLIA," "Rusty Nail," and "JADE," were performed with new classical arrangements. These versions blended the beauty of classical music with a unique style that only YOSHIKI can create. "Rusty Nail," which was recently performed in the United States, showed a different side when played as a classical melody. In the final show, a special performance of "Kimigayo" - recently played at the F1 Japanese Grand Prix - was added as a symbolic moment.

During "Kiss the Sky," the audience sang along and lit up the hall with their phones, creating a sense of unity. When the orchestra and drums played together, the grand feeling of classical music and the energy of rock merged perfectly. YOSHIKI’s powerful drumming filled the venue with energy, and the crowd responded with great excitement. Throughout the show, the audience cheered loudly again and again for his performance.

Furthermore, the new song "La Senna" featured Italian lyrics and a performance that highlighted the melody and the vocals. The tense atmosphere and deep sound immediately drew the audience into the music. After the song finished, the venue was filled with loud applause.

Furthermore, "ART OF LIFE" was performed in a completely new way, moving between piano and electronic sounds and including a DJ section by YOSHIKI himself. Modern sounds and new ideas mixed with classical music, creating a unique experience that went beyond traditional styles. In response to YOSHIKI's performance.

The performance generated a huge response on social media immediately afterward, with comments such as, "YOSHIKI has redefined classical music," and "It is impossible to listen to without crying." Fans from around the world attended, and reactions from overseas included, "Beyond Classical. Beyond Music," and "The world's most heart-wrenching piano." This showed that the performance left a deep impression that went beyond borders and languages.
During the show, YOSHIKI said:"I believe this performance has completely updated YOSHIKI CLASSICAL and truly represents the title 'Awakening Eve.' After three neck surgeries and being in a wheelchair for a time, being able to return to the stage and perform a full drum solo is a huge step for me. I feel like the long wait has ended and the door has finally opened. I want to continue making music that keeps evolving."

And with this performance as a starting point, YOSHIKI CLASSICAL will expand its stage to the world. On July 16th (Thursday) and 17th (Friday) local time, "YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2026 IN LOS ANGELES" will be held at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, USA. It will be a two-night event titled "Scarlet Night" and "Violet Night".
