X JAPAN's "Forever Love" Music Video Officially Released After 30 Years — Theme Song of "X-X: The Movie"
Film is Now Streaming Exclusively on Crunchyroll (Worldwide) and d Anime Store (Japan) for a Limited Time

X JAPAN's nationwide hit "Forever Love," composed by YOSHIKI, is the theme song for "X-X: The Movie," now streaming exclusively on d Anime Store for a limited time starting August 14 (Friday). The animated film, based on the CLAMP manga, was originally released in theaters in 1996, and this marks its long-awaited streaming debut.

"X-X: The Movie" is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its theatrical release. Set in Tokyo at the end of the century, the film depicts an epic battle for the future of humanity, and the theme song, X JAPAN's "Forever Love," powerfully enhances its world.

"Forever Love" is one of YOSHIKI's signature compositions and has been beloved for years as X JAPAN's representative ballad. Since its release in 1996, it has been performed countless times, not only at X JAPAN concerts but around the world — in forms ranging from classical arrangements with YOSHIKI on piano and orchestra to full-band performances — reaching fans everywhere for 30 years as one of the songs that best symbolizes YOSHIKI's musical career.The song is also deeply rooted in YOSHIKI's hometown of Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture, where it plays on the local disaster-prevention radio system and has been adopted as the departure melody at JR Tateyama Station.

Now, 30 years after its release, "X-X: The Movie" and the song that colored its world, "Forever Love," will once again reach a wide audience.

YOSHIKI will also hold the 100th-performance milestone edition of "EVENING/BREAKFAST with YOSHIKI 2026 in TOKYO JAPAN" at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo starting August 27. The dinner show series, which began in 2014, reaches its 100th performance with this run, and all seven shows — including an added performance — sold out instantly, from the 300,000-yen VIP tickets to the top-tier 1,000,000-yen VVIP tickets.

For this milestone performance, a center-stage format will be used for the first time, with special guests and surprise sessions also planned.

At a classical concert in July at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Josh Groban sang "Forever Love" in Japanese to an enthusiastic response. Following that Los Angeles performance, YOSHIKI will now celebrate his milestone 100th concert in Japan.With the 100th-performance show approaching, YOSHIKI is expected to make further announcements — all eyes are on what comes next.
